SOUTHWEST CHAMBER

Purpose of the Room: A good sized room located in the upper southwest sector of the house providing a nice sunny and bright room. Due to the lack of a fireplace in this room it may have been used as the children’s bed chamber for safety reasons.

Dimensions: 16' x 11' 5"; ceiling height 7' 10"

Architectural Features:

1. Floor - until 1990 the floorboards in this room were unstained wood and in time will be returned to that original appearance.

2. Windows in this room consist of one (1) six over six and two (2) nine over six windows and these latter windows appear to be of earlier construction.

Color:

1. Walls - same color was found in the Entrance and Center Hallways and similar to the background color found on this page.

2. Trim - Oyster White milk paint
