Purpose of the Room: Dining area for the family or multi-purpose room.
Dimensions: 16' 3" x 11' 6"; ceiling height 7" 9 1/2"
Architectural Features: Focal point of the room is on the east side and consists of a nicely detailed fireplace mantle and surround with a built-in corner beaufat (cupboard) extending to the floor which was used to display the family china. Additionally, there are four hooks in the ceiling of a corner of the room leading one to believe that a loom could have been hung there and used as needed.
1. Walls - white plaster
2. Trim - both a modern day medium gray and a buttermilk milk paint of thick consistency where used to cover the original Oyster White milk paint.
