INDENTURE between William Jayne & Thomas Helme - 3 Novemb 1680


Know all men of those prefents that I Willm Jayne of Brookhaven on Long Island in the Eaft Ryding of new Yorke for and in Concideration of full satiffaction by me already received from Thomas Helme of the sd Towne whom with J conf... my selfe do so freely satiffyed contented & paid have bargained & foule and by the prefents doe ffully clearly & abfolutely give grant alien & confirme unto the sd Thomas Helme his Heires & afsignes for ever all that houfe & Lot which I the sd Willm Jayne bought parte of John Thomas & parte of Mr. Jofiah Hubbard of Eaft hampton with every parte & parcel thereof Containing ten Ackers more or lefs being bounded by Nathaniel Nortons lot on the south fide and Willm Jaynes lot on ye north togethere with all the deeds Evidences & records concerning the same To Have & to Hold the said land with all the appurtenances to the property & behoofe of the Said Thomas Helme his heires & asfsigns for ever according to this said intent & purpose of thofe prefents with out any lot hinderance or molefsation from me the Sd Willm Jayne or any by my .... or procurement In witnefse Whereof j set my hand & feale this day & yeare above mentioned.
